Campus Safety report: Sept. 17 - 23

Suspicious Activity/Persons

September 17, 5:50 a.m. (Ford Hall): Received report of unknown individuals in the building. An officer responded and confirmed they were students.

September 17, 7:30 a.m. (Gatke Hall): Officers responded to a call about an unidentified individual in distress, potentially a medical emergency. An officer responded and the individual was transported to Salem Hospital.

September 17, 9:57 a.m. (Law School): Received a report of an individual hanging around the bike racks. An officer responded and confirmed that bikes had not been tampered with. The individual was not located.

September 17, 3:35 p.m. (Art Building): Officers responded to a call of an individual wandering though campus, The individual was located and escorted off campus

September 17, 10:46 p.m. (Winter Street): Officers received a report of someone screaming between Collins and Doney, headed towards Winter Street. The individual could not be located.l

September 18, 2:33 p.m. (Baxter Hall): Officers received multiple calls about anti-mask protestors not wearing masks and yelling at students by Ford. An officer responded, but did no locate any protestors on campus.

September 22, 1:28 p.m. (University Apartments): An officer observed an individual digging through the dumpster.The officer made contact with the individual and asked them to leave campus, and they complied.

September 22, 2:28 p.m. (Sparks Center): Received a call about an individual who was shirtless and digging through the dumpsters. An officer responded and escorted the individual off-campus

September 23, 6:00 a.m. (McCulloch Stadium): Officers received a report of cougar sounds near the stadium, upon closer inspection three raccoons were found in a tree. No signs of a cougar were found.

September 23, 6:30 a.m. (Tennis Courts): Officers received a report of an individual using cannabis on the courts. No one was located..

September 23, 3:21 p.m. (YWCA Building): Officers received a call of individual camping at the front door of this building. An officer made contact with the individual, and asked them to leave. They complied.

Theft

September 19, 9:10 a.m. (Grounds Building): An employee reported that a gas tank had been stolen from a weed trimmer.

September 20, 9:34 p.m. (Northwood Hall): A student called to report their bike’s front tire was stolen.
