Willamette announces sixth COVID-19 case of spring semester

The Reopening Operations Committee (ROC) Sent an email out on April 29 that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19. This is Willamette University’s sixth case of the semester and fourth case of April. The employee had been present in McCulloch stadium and was not in close contact with anyone in the Willamette Community as [defined by the CDC]. ROC reported that the employee is in self isolation at home.


The community was once again reminded to continue following COVID-19 guidelines for personal health protection. Keep a physical distance of six feet and wear a mask.


Staff and faculty who test positive for COVID-19 should contact Danita Chapin (<dkchapin>) in Human Resources. Students who test positive for COVID-19 can contact Tori Ruiz in Student Affairs (<truiz>).
