Burglary

February 10, 5:43 p.m. (Baxter Hall): A student reported that their bicycle had been stolen from the basement area of Baxter. An officer responded and surveyed the area and found the door may have been pried open. A work order was created to have the door repaired.

Suspicious Activity/Persons

February 4, 2:42 p.m. (Hatfield Library): An officer escorted an unauthorized individual off-campus.

February 5, 12:19 a.m. (Matthews Hall): Campus Safety received a call about two individuals soliciting near the building. Officers responded and searched the area and surrounding areas, but could not locate anyone in the area.

February 5, 3:01 p.m. (Oak Street Property): Campus Safety received a call about a tent seen on the off-campus property. Officers responded and found the tent was not inhabited.

February 5, 9:30 p.m. (Kaneko Commons): An officer noticed an individual sleeping at the north side doors. The individual left the area as the officer approached them.

February 7,11:10 a.m. (Tennis Courts): An officer observed an individual sitting at the west side steps of the courts and made contact with the individual. They were not a student and left campus after being asked.

February 7, 3:34 p.m. (Smullin Hall): Campus Safety received a call about a group of people on bikes holding loose bike parts. An officer responded to the area, but once the group saw the officer approach they quickly left campus towards State Street. The officer checked the bike racks in the area to see if anything was taken from the bikes locked up and nothing obvious was missing from any of the bikes.

February 8, 8:08 a.m. (Lee House): An officer made contact with an individual who was camping at a doorway of the residence. The individual was unable to walk so paramedics were called to treat the individual.

February 8, 10:30 a.m. (Ford Hall): An officer observed an individual on a bike cutting through the campus and was going through the dumpster. The officer made contact and verbally trespassed the individual.

February 8, 1:40 p.m. (Sparks Field): An officer observed an individual yelling and walking towards the Soccer Field. The individual was observed until they left campus.

February 9, 2:43 a.m. (Matthews Hall): Campus Safety received a call about an individual outside of the residence who was not a student. An officer responded to the area but was unable to locate the individual.

February 9, 11:08 a.m. (Oak Street Property): Campus Safety received a report of an individual camped on the property. An officer responded and learned that the individual has packed up their equipment and left the area.

February 10, 12:55 p.m. (University Services Building): Campus Safety was informed of an individual outside the building who was not a student and digging theough a trash can. An officer responded to the area but the individual had already left campus.

Campus Safety Tip: The SOAR Center is now offering N95 masks as well. They are located on the 3rd floor of the Putnam University Center.
