Criminal Mischief

April 9, 8:15 a.m. (Atkinson Annex): While on patrol, an officer encountered a building wall that had been spray painted with graffiti. A report was filed and a work order was made to have the graffiti removed.

Suspicious Activity / Persons

April 5, 2:34 p.m. (University Apartments): Campus Safety received a call reporting an individual going through the dumpsters. An officer responded and made contact with the individual informing them that the campus is closed to visitors. The individual then left campus.

April 6, 7:29 a.m. (Winter Street): Campus Safety received a call reporting an unknown individual attempting to get inside campus buildings. An officer responded and escorted the individual off campus. As the individual departed, they grabbled some mail from a U.S. Post Office mailbox and fled the area. Salem Police and postal services were informed of the theft.

April 6, 2:07 p.m. (Quad): While on patrol, an officer encountered a group of teenagers on bicycles passing through campus. The officer made contact with the group and informed them that the campus is closed to visitors. The individuals then left campus.

April 7, 11:40 a.m. (State Street): Campus Safety received a call from a student reporting an unknown individual attempting to get inside campus buildings. An officer responded and found the individual leaving campus.

April 8, 4:42 p.m. (Quad): Campus Safety received a call reporting a group of teenagers on bicycles passing through campus. An officer made contact with the group and informed them that the campus is closed to visitors. The individuals then left.

April 9, 3:31 p.m. (Kaneko Commons): While on patrol, an officer encountered a group of individuals smoking marijuana. The officer made contact with the individuals and informed them of the campus no smoking policy.

April 9, 6:23 p.m. (Collins Science): Campus Safety received multiple calls reporting an individual sitting on a bench and yelling. An officer responded and informed the individual that the campus is closed to visitors. The individual was then escorted off campus.

April 10, 11:30 p.m. (Quad): Campus Safety received a noise complaint coming from the quad. An officer responded and found the group of students leaving the area.
