Medical Escort
April 2, 10:39 p.m. (In a Campus Residence): Campus Safety received a call from a student requesting transport to the ER. An officer responded and a report was filed. The on-call area coordinator was contacted.
Suspicious Activity/Persons
March 29, 2:00 a.m. (Atkinson Annex): Campus Safety received a call from custodial staff reporting an unknown individual outside the front entrance. An officer responded and informed the individual the campus is closed to visitors, but the individual refused to leave. The Salem Police Department was contacted to assist in removing the individual from campus, but the individual fled before a Salem Police unit arrived.
March 29, 9:23 a.m. (Jackson Plaza): Campus Safety received a call from an employee reporting an individual passing through campus without a mask on. An officer responded and searched the area and surrounding areas, but could not locate the individual.
March 30, 9:44 a.m. (Botanical Gardens): While on patrol, an officer encountered an individual in the garden passing through the area. The officer made contact with the individual and informed them of the campus visitor policy. The individual was then escorted off campus.
March 30, 4:24 p.m. (Skybridge): Campus Safety received a call reporting two individuals without masks on in the area. Officers responded but could not locate the individuals.
March 31, 7:42 a.m. (Quad): While on patrol, an officer encountered a suspicious individual without a mask on in the area. An officer made contact with the individual and informed them of the campus mask policy. The individual then left campus.
March 31, 6:30 p.m. (University Apartments Parking Lot): Campus Safety received a call from a student reporting their vehicle and another vehicle were broken into. An officer responded and met with the students and a report was filed.
March 31, 11:58 p.m. (University Apartments Parking Lot): Campus Safety received a call reporting an unmasked individual loitering in the lot. An officer responded, but could not locate the individual.
March 31, 12:55 a.m. (State Street): While on patrol, an officer encountered three individuals in the garden area. The officer made contact with the individuals and informed them of the campus visitor policy. The individuals then left campus.
April 1, 11:42 p.m. (University Apartments): Campus Safety received a call reporting two individuals looking into cars. An officer responded and searched the area and surrounding areas, but the individuals had already left.
April 1, 11:49 p.m. (University Services Annex): While on patrol, an officer encountered an individual passing through campus. The individual was informed the campus is closed to visitors and was asked to leave.
April 2, 2:51 p.m. (Baxter Hall): While on patrol, an officer encountered an individual going through the dumpsters and carrying a campus sign. The officer made contact with the individual, who then left campus.
April 2, 8:32 p.m. (Kaneko Commons): Campus Safety received a call reporting an unknown individual loitering in the parking lot that also did not have a mask on. An officer responded and searched the area and surrounding areas but could not locate the individual.
April 3, 9:45 a.m. (University Apartments): While on patrol, an officer encountered an individual going through the dumpsters. The officer made contact with the individual and they then left campus.
April 3, 4:51 p.m. (Ford Hall): Campus Safety received a call reporting a group of individuals passing through the campus. An officer responded and met with the group informing them of the campus visitor policy. The group then left campus.
April 3, 4:56 p.m (University Center): While on patrol, an officer encountered an individual that had been removed from campus in the past. The officer made contact with the individual who became agitated. The officer calmed the individual and was able to guide them off campus.
April 4, 4:12 a.m. (Belknap Lot): Campus Safety received a call reporting a maskless individual in the area. An officer responded and found the individual leaving campus.
