Weekly Report By Campus Safety

Safety Violation

April 30, 8:31 p.m. (Kaneko Commons): While on patrol, an officer noticed a candle burning inside a room visible from the window outside. The officer and a residential advisor (RA) made contact with the residents and reminded them that candles are never allowed in residence halls. 


Suspicious Activity/Persons

April 24, 12:07 a.m. (Eaton Hall): While on patrol, an officer encountered a suspicious individual on a bike shining a light at them. The officer attempted to make contact with the individual, but they rode off campus. 


April 24, 12:11 a.m. (Matthews parking lot): While on patrol, an officer encountered two suspicious individuals going through the dumpster. The individuals were informed that the campus is closed, and then the individuals then left campus. 


April 24, 12:14 a.m (Cascadia Hall): While on patrol, an officer encountered a suspicious individual loitering near the building.  When the individual saw the officer, they immediately left campus. 


April 25, 5:24 a.m. (Matthews parking lot): While on patrol, an officer encountered a suspicious individual going through the dumpster. The individual was informed that the campus is closed and the individual then left campus. 


April 27, 12:58 p.m. (Mill Street): Campus Safety received a call from an employee reporting a suspicious individual passing through the campus. Officers responded and made contact with the individual who then left.


April 28, 8:58 a.m. (blue parking lot): Campus Safety received a call reporting a suspicious individual sitting on a bench near the Mill Stream. An officer responded and informed the individual that the campus closed. The individual made their way off campus.


April 29, 9:09 a.m. (Botanical Gardens): Campus Safety received a call reporting suspicious individuals in the garden. An officer responded and made contact with one individual. They were asked to leave campus. 


April 29, 12:43 p.m. (the quad): Campus Safety received a call reporting two individuals sitting on the Adirondack chairs. An officer made contact with the individuals and informed them that the campus is closed. The individuals left campus.

 

April 30, 8:01 a.m. (Art Building): Campus Safety received a call reporting a suspicious individual sleeping near the building. An officer responded and made contact with the individual who then left campus. 


April 30, 8:13 a.m. (Star Trees): While on patrol, an officer encountered a suspicious individual loitering under the Star Trees. The individual was informed that the campus is closed and was asked to leave.


April 30, 9:48 p.m. (Skybridge): Campus Safety received a call from Willamette Watch reporting two suspicious individuals walking towards Kaneko Commons. An officer responded and checked with the individuals, who were trying to use the building lights to fix a bicycle. The individuals left after the repair. 


April 30, 10:45 p.m. (Rogers Music Center): While on patrol, an officer encountered a suspicious individual on a bike passing through campus. The officer attempted to make contact with the individual, but they rode off campus.


April 30, 10:52 p.m. (Winter Street): While on patrol, an officer encountered three individuals passing through campus. The officer made contact with the individuals and they left campus.
